Duke Chapel is a significant Christian institution: it has a Sunday worship attendance of 1000, and is renowned for its music, preaching and liturgy. It also seeks the spiritual flourishing of all faith traditions on campus. Thus it convenes and supports the 25 campus ministries at Duke, and (since 2007) has sponsored the Duke Faith Council, which seeks to foster and model profound conversations across faiths. It is looking for a Christian with administrative and pastoral gifts, qualifications, and experience to take this already extensive inter-religious program to the next level. The person appointed will also oversee undergraduate ministry, participate in Chapel worship, and assist the Dean of the Chapel in administrative leadership.
